The League: A Distinguished Gentleman's Movement Inc is a non-profit organization providing community based programs and services to help empower and educate young man of color in New York City. We seek to empower gentlemen from all backgrounds, lifestyles and cultures to catapult themselves and others to perform at their optimum; while focusing on those who have challenging or less fortunate situations.
Greener Lenox- A major local campaign of The League:DGM; an initiative based around sustainability, preservation,
pollution control and health management of the local tree beds, planter street boxes and flower-beds along Lenox Avenue.
Winners of the MillionTreesNewYorkCity Grant program for 2013; The League:DGM has partnered with The Lenox Ave
Business Alliance & MMPCIA for beautification, preservation and revitalization initiatives of Lenox Ave & Central Harlem;
including the Historic & Landmarked Mount Morris Community Park District from 118-125th streets. (GreenerLenox is
intellectual property/ownership of The League:DGM)
Prom Quarters & “Elegant for Prom” -Annual prom/formal wear donation & drop-off campaign which awards deserving males and females with prom attire. The donated items will be used to dress and style local young men and women to have a memorable day or evening for their prom or graduation selected by Not Another Child.
Annual Father’s Day Event- “Gentlemen’s Grooming Hour”- Annual Gentlemen's Grooming Hour in celebration of Father's Day! The League will be presenting this special event to men & boys on proper grooming etiquette techniques, including but not limited to, knot tying sessions for neck and bow ties, shoe wear and care, hair and facial grooming, and more.
There will also be exclusive designers available, (Black Billionaire, Bow Tie Nicki, Zirh) with their one of a kind products on
hand to add allure to this gentlemen's hour.
School Supply Drive-Annual school supply campaign which donates underprivileged youth with their necessary school supplies.
